Capt Sunil Kumar Choudhary,KC(Posthumous),SM was a big terror for the hard core ULFA rebels, who shook his name. These selfish rebels of upper Assam started extortion and other self satisfying activities about 25-26 yrs ago only to fulfill their needs. For the first time after seeing late Capt Sunil Kumar Choudhary,KC(Posthumous),SM these barbarous, selfish, uncivilized men realized that even now there are daring soldiers in the nation's army.
As soon as he joined this Coy he started his counterinsurgency operations with full enthusiasm. He neither bothered for his personal needs, nor was this inhuman terrain ever a problem for him. He carried out his operations in every corner of his AOR and never gave a single chance to ULFA to breathe freely. For his heroism even his enemies would also have eternal respect for him. Though now he is no more amongst us, yet his efforts and his daring personality have left an everlasting impact on us and have set an example to reckon with.
Late Capt S K Choudhary, SM was clever and yet soft spoken to everyone. He gave adequate regards to his seniors and had deep affection for his subordinates. His juniors never had any problems because of his clear cut instructions and his support. He believed in the principle of simple living and high thinking. In spite of his veg-diet and plain lifestyle, he carried out various operations successfully. He was also very much conscious about his fitness & exercised daily.
All his work was for the welfare of the community and he never performed any action against humanity. He never misbehaved with any one, which led him to gain the faith of the local people. Due to this he developed a strong network, which always equipped him with the latest information. At last, unfortunately on 27 Jan 2008 he lost his life fighting bravely against the terrorists. He was a brave, courageous and daring person. He was not only a brilliant officer but a great patriot as well. Though he is not with us any more but his memory will always be alive deep within us in our hearts.
